ZOOM VIDEO CHAT WITH MS HERNANDEZ
A message from our fabulous student teacher, Ms Hernandez:
Hello amazing students,
How are you? I miss you all so much. Things right now are a bit out of the ordinary, but just know that I have been constantly thinking about every one of you.
I am inviting you to participate in biweekly video chat check-ins from 10:00-11:00am on Mondays and Fridays via Zoom. Our first chat will be on Monday, March 30th from 10:00-11:00am. Biweekly means we will have this virtual check-in chat time twice a week. Please keep in mind that THIS IS OPTIONAL. This is a safe space for you to share with the class about how you are doing and feeling. Ideally, everyone will share a "thorn" (a not-so-great thing) and a "rose" (a great thing or something you are looking forward to) to the chat. After you share your "thorn and rose," I would like for you to share a joke with the class so we can make sure we have some laughs.
ZOOM is what I use to video chat with my professors and classmates during our time away from each other. It is a free service, all you have to do is sign up to create an account. I have mine linked to my school gmail account. You are able see and hear everyone in the video chat. There is also a feature for you to write questions during the chat. You do not have to video chat if you do not want to. Using only audio instead of video is completely fine.
If you or your family grownups have any questions or concerns, please feel free to message me on Remind.
I look forward to seeing and hearing from all of you. Again, I miss you all so much and hope you are well.
Take care,
Ms. Hernandez
